NEW CHANGES TO HRDF FOR EMPLOYERS AND REGISTERED TRAINING PROVIDERS (2014)

Under the new circular, employers can still claim for any courses they attend or send their employees to that is run by Training Providers up and until 31 December 2014.

What Happens After 31 December 2014?

Effective 1 January 2015, all Training Providers must have re-registered with HRDF as a Training Provider. They must offer at the very least ONE (1) certification programme to qualify. The categories (A,B, C and so forth...) for Training Prpviders will also be abandoned. Each training programme that they offer must be registered with HRDF who will have to approve it first before it can be offered to their Clients. Employers can only claim for training programmes tha have been pre-approved by HRDF before hand. Our advise therefore, is to make sure you make an appointment with your relevant training provider as early as 4 months and no later than 3 months prior to any projected/ expected date of training so that the programme can be submitted and considered by the relevant Committee in HRDF to be approved.

If you have any further enquiries, please do not hesitate to contact us or HRDF directly for guidance.
